 The
following Terms & Conditions relate to the web site known
as 'The Jigsaw Doctor' (also referred to as 'the web site' in
these terms and conditions) - provided by Quantum Enterprises.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
GENERAL
Acceptance Of The Terms & Conditions
By making a purchase or using a service provided by the web
site, the customer is accepting these terms and conditions in
full.
Suspension of Services
Quantum Enterprises reserves the right to suspend or cancel
any or all services at any time. In this case, if orders have
not been fulfilled, the customer will receive a full refund.
Service Lead Times
All service lead times are given as a guide only and Quantum
Enterprises is not responsible or liable for delays caused by
unforeseen circumstances, service continuity disruptions or high
demand.
Loss of customer property in the mail
The customer accepts that Quantum Enterprises will not be
held liable in any way for loss or damage of customer property
in the mail, from either the mailing of jigsaw puzzle pieces
or photographs to Quantum Enterprises, or the mailing of jigsaw
puzzle pieces or photographs back to the customer. The customer
accepts full responsibility for any losses or damage when mailing
jigsaw puzzle pieces or photographs to Quantum Enterprises, no
matter what value (monetary or sentimental) that the jigsaw puzzle
or photograph may have.
Quantum Enterprises will use 'Signed For' (but not guaranteed)
delivery services when returning jigsaw puzzle pieces to the
customer, and strongly recommends that the customer uses such
a service when sending jigsaw puzzle pieces to Quantum Enterprises.
The following mail services will be used. The maximum compensation
that may be claimed against a lost delivery within the UK is
included. These prices are not necessarily current, and the customer
should visit Royal Mail
(http://www.royalmail.com) to check the current compensation
limits:
UK delivery - Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Signed for
- Proof of posting
- Signature on delivery
- Online confirmation of delivery
- Up to £34 compensation
International Delivery - Airmail Signed For
- All items are tracked until they leave the UK – and
in some cases on arrival in the destination country
- Progress of your item can be checked online until it reaches
the destination country’s postal service as a registered
item.
- IMPORTANT: To avoid uneccessary customs duty, when completing
the customs form please do not mark the value of the package
as greater than £18 ($36). If this is not complied with,
and customs apply import duty, we will have no option but to
pass this cost on to the customer.
Loss or damage by Quantum Enterprises
The customer accepts that Quantum Enterprises will
not be held liable in any way for loss or damage of jigsaw puzzle
pieces whilst providing the replacement jigsaw puzzle piece replacement
service.
Important Note about the piece replacement process:
- During the process of making the replacement piece, the epoxy
putty may come into direct contact with the surrounding original
pieces from the jigsaw - mostly the reverse. This usually does
not leave any residue, but may leave some marks on the reverse
of the jigsaw. The customer accepts that marking on the reverse,
or very possible the front face, of the original jigsaw pieces
may occur.
Loss or damage by the Customer
The customer accepts that Quantum Enterprises will
not be held liable in any way for loss or damage of the replacement
jigsaw puzzle piece once is has been received by the customer.
(See also below).
Accuracy of replacement pieces
The replacement jigsaw puzzle pieces are hand-made and will
be a good approximation of the original missing piece. The replacement
pieces are not made from cardboard or wood. Instead, they are
produced using a special epoxy putty that sets like hard plastic.
Please note the following:
- The material used to reproduce your missing piece will be
a different colour to the original cardboard or wood.
- Colour matching of the image will be as close as possible
to the original. The customer accepts that colour matching is
not guaranteed to be 100% perfect. (It will be difficult to spot
the replacement without reasonably close examination).
- The replacement piece will be a very snug fit. It is recommended
that it is kept separate from the other pieces and placed in
the jigsaw last.
- The material used to make the replacement is very strong,
but will break if mis-handled. If it is treated like other jigsaw
puzzle pieces it will withstand normal use. The customer accepts
that Quantum Enterprises is not responsible for damage of the
replacement jigsaw puzzle piece unless it is due to a manufacturing
defect.
Custom Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles
The colour reproduction of the photographs is dependent on
the printing process, and may differ from the original.
If necessary, the image may be cropped to fit onto the wooden
jigsaw puzzle.
The digital oil painting effect, if ordered, will only be applied
if thought to enhance the image. If the digital oil painting
effect does not produce satisfactory results, the customer will
be informed. The customer can decide whether to cancel the order,
or have the photograph used without the oil painting effect.
If digital oil painting effect is not used, the difference between
the standard custom price, and the digital oil painting price
will be refunded.
COPYRIGHT
All images and content are subject to copyright, and may not
be used without written permission from Quantum Enterprises.
TRADEMARK
The Jigsaw (Puzzle) Doctor is a trademark of Quantum Enterprises.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Additional costs are as shown with the price of goods or
services ordered. There is no additional tax to pay on the price
of goods you see.
The cost is same for replacement cardboard and wooden jigsaw
pieces, and independent of the size. However, we reserve the
right to charge extra for the replacement of extremely large
jigsaw pieces - i.e. greater than 50mm in length and width.
THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations
2000 you have the right to cancel your order, for any reason,
within 7 working days of placing your order.
If you do decide to cancel your order within the cooling off
period, your money will be refunded in full.
Customer property (original jigsaw puzzle pieces) that have
already been sent to Quantum Enterprises within the cooling off
period will be returned at the customer's expense.
SERVICE CONTINUITY
Quantum Enterprises will not be held liable for any lack
of continuity of our services, nor for any losses or circumstances
arising from lack of service continuity.
SECURITY
All credit card transactions are processed by PayPal. No
information regarding credit card details is transmitted to Quantum
Enterprises, and Quantum Enterprises cannot be held responsible
for fraudulent or misuse of credit cards or credit card information.
AFFILIATES
Quantum Enterprises only provides links to, and is not responsible
for, the service provided by its affiliates (PayPal).
